Warner Music Canada recording artist and newly minted CCMA Songwriter of the Year Aaron Goodvin has today released the track “You Are” as the first single from his forthcoming sophomore album.
With its infectious hook and groove, “You Are”, co-written by Aaron and Brandon Hood, captures the joy of a man in love.
“I wanted to write something that felt as good as I feel,” Aaron remembers. “I showed up that day and we fell into the perfect groove and then Brandon and I bounced lyrics off each other telling stories from our own lives.”

Aaron’s win at the CCMA Awards was a sign that the music industry was acknowledging what the public already knew – a new star had arrived! Having first cut his teeth contributing songs to artists like Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi and Cole Swindell, Aaron Goodvin broke out on his own with the 2016 release of his self-titled debut album.
What followed were three consecutive Top Ten Canadian country radio hits including the 2017 summer smash “Lonely Drum” which became the only Canadian country single to be certified platinum in the past two years. To date, the songs on Aaron’s debut have amassed over eight million streams.
