In honour of the summer solstice, JUNO Award winning duo Neon Dreams released their much-anticipated fourth studio album, The Good, The True And The Beautiful on June 21st.
“The Good, the True, And The Beautiful – these words act as my compass, my North Star that I use to navigate through this world,” explains lead vocalist Frank Kadillac about the intention behind the album’s title. “All religions, philosophy and the great works of art are based on one underlying principle: There is a spiritual world that generates the cause of all the effects that we experience in our reality. I feel that it’s the job of the artist and musician to channel truth from the spiritual and turn it into gold for others.”
The astrological themed The Good, The True And The Beautiful features twelve tracks, each corresponding to a sign of the zodiac. The concept album chronicles an epic hero’s odyssey; the universal quest to find one’s way back home, both literally and figuratively.
Listeners are taken on a transformative journey beginning with the opening track “Big Ocean,” where the protagonist yearns for deeper spiritual fulfillment. “Jonah” continues the story, where the call to adventure is embraced, and the liberating anthem and lead single “The Art Of Letting Go” featuring Matthew Mole, sees them release all of their fears, and fully realize their purpose.
“The Art Of Letting Go” has already made significant waves, becoming Neon Dreams’ biggest radio hit in South Africa and bringing them back to Canadian Alternative radio, where it landed in the Top 30. Teasers of songs from The Good, The True And The Beautiful have amassed over 275 million views on TikTok, with an impressive 12 million views per week, setting a strong foundation for the album’s release.
