Watch out Ticketmaster, there’s a new gun in town who is taking aim at knocking you off your dominant perch. San Francisco-based Ticketfly have thrown down the gauntlet by announcing an ambitious expansion into Canada.
Ticketfly, a leading independent ticketing and marketing platform is now powering the ticketing and marketing efforts for a number of Canada’s top venues and event promoters including Calgary-based Union Events and Toronto-based Collective Concerts. Ticketfly has also acquired Prime Box Office, a regional ticketing company based in Calgary.

With its’ base in Calgary, Union Events boasts a strong presence in rock and electronic dance music coast to coast.
Ticketfly has also signed an agreement with Toronto-based Collective Concerts. One of Canada’s most progressive and successful independent promoters, Collective is the exclusive promoter for legendary Toronto clubs; The Horseshoe and Lee’s Palace as well as Inertia Entertainment, Ontario’s largest heavy metal promoter.
Heading Ticketfly’s Canadian expansion is Bruce Morrison, a former General Manager for Ticketmaster Canada. “The integrated and forward-thinking toolset that Ticketfly offers to its clients is invaluable by enabling clients to save time, sell more tickets and maintain control of the events, noted Morrison “Ticketfly positions itself as a serious new alternative for Canadian venues, promoters, artists and fans.”
Morrison will be joined in Toronto by a team of local sales and operational staff. The president of Prime Bpx Office, Greg Stephenson, will operate as sales director for Western Canada based out of Calgary.
