The inimitable Canadian singer-songwriter Matthew Good has released today “Selling You My Heart.” The slow-building ballad is the second song released from Good’s forthcoming album MOVING WALLS.
It follows up on the lead single, “Sicily” which arrived with a critically-acclaimed video; fans can watch that here. The sumptuous, orchestral, and wildly multifaceted album is a 15-track masterpiece, recorded at the legendary Bathouse Studios, and will be available everywhere you listen to music on February 21st. Click here to presave or preorder the album now. “Selling You My Heart” arrives with an intensely personal video that perfectly captures the message of the song. Fans can watch that video here.
“Selling You My Heart” was the first track written for MOVING WALLS and offers an intimate window into Good’s creative process. Good notes, “During this album, I was living with my mom and dad. I moved here after my divorce. My dad has dementia and now terminal cancer, so I’ve been helping my mom.”
Good continues: “My mom and I basically created a space in the garage. I would work from about 8 at night until 3 am and then on the weekends I had my kids. I hadn’t really settled on any kind of direction for the album. Then I wrote ‘Selling You My Heart’ and it went from there.”
In addition to the album and single, Matthew Good will be setting out on the road as part of a 32-date headlining tour. The run of dates begins on March 4th in Pictou, NS and includes stops in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver to name but a few. Tickets and VIP packages for the tour are available now at matthewgood.org. See below for the full tour itinerary.
Matthew will be continuing to release new music leading up to the release of his new album. To stay abreast on all the latest Matthew Good news, check MatthewGood.org regularly or follow him on Twitter @mattgood, Facebook at facebook.com/matthewgoodmusic, and Instagram at matthewgoodgram.
