Warner Music Canada recording artist Matthew Good has released a brand new single today. “Decades” comes from his forthcoming album, which will be released this fall. Though this is the official release for “Decades,” Good has been previewing it for audiences on his 28 date, cross country 2017 Beautiful Midnight Revisited tour. In addition to the single, Good has also premiered the video for “Decades” on his social media.
Speaking about “Decades,” Matthew notes “This is a song about the realization of the personal price you pay being an artist for decades.” This shines through in the video, which features child-actor Max Jenkins, who currently stars in the 2017 remake of Lost in Space as Will Robinson. Of working with Max, Good says “Max was absolutely phenomenal, as was Alan, and everyone involved in the production. From the minute things got going we knew we were watching a rare talent and it only served to increase everyone’s enthusiasm. Few actors can do that, let alone at 12 years old.” Director Elliott Montello adds “Casting Max for the role of ‘The Boy’ in Decades was one of the easiest decisions I have made in my career. Max’s immense acting talents made for an epic performance.”
In addition to the release of “Decades,” Matthew Good will be setting out on the road this summer with both solo shows, as well as with Midnight Oil. Stops include Toronto, Montreal, and Niagara Falls. See below for a full list of dates
