New Song Arrives Ahead of Canadian Tour, Forthcoming Book

Today, during her appearance on CTV’s The Social, Jann Arden reveals her newest song, A Long Goodbye. Available now at all digital and streaming services via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, the track marks Arden’s first original music since 2014’s Everything Almost and finds the celebrated singer-songwriter once more teamed with legendary producer Bob Rock, with whom she’s been regularly collaborating from 2010.

“This song deals with the slow and steady loss of someone you love,” says Arden. “Be it by their actual physical presence from a terminal illness or by the meticulous wiping of their memories. These long goodbyes often take years – sometimes decades – and are devastating for those of us who love them.”

A Long Goodbye arrives as Arden begins promotion for her soon to be released book, Feeding My Mother – Comfort and Laughter in the Kitchen as My Mom Lives With Memory Loss, out Nov 21 via Penguin Random House Canada.

Jann Arden will perform 27 Canadian dates over the course of this fall, including a series of special A Jann Arden Christmas concerts, which will showcase seasonal repertoire from her already timeless 2015 release. An announcement of details for Arden’s next studio album is still to come.
