Following an action-packed tour, on the road opening for Chad Brownlee’s highly praised “Hearts On Fire Tour”, Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA ®) 2014 Discovery Program finalist David James is set to release a new single, “What If I Don’t” on January 24, 2017 (available on all digital platforms January 27).
Produced by Dan Swinimer (Jojo Mason) and recorded at ManicDown Productions studio in Langley, BC, the new single is “a step in a new direction,” according to James. Infused with a more pop-inspired sound, this track features smoky lyrical guitar interplays, and explosive, hard-hitting culminations.
Shares James, “This song is about wanting to be a better person for someone. We’ve all had those people who come into our lives who treat us like garbage. This guy is saying he wants to change all that; really be the reason there’s a smile on her face, not a tear in her eye.”
James will reunite with Chad Brownlee on the “Hearts On Fire Tour” for dates in Thunder Bay, Brandon and Regina mid-January and recently confirmed a new solo date in Edmonton, as well as a show in Calgary with up-and-coming country duo Leaving Thomas.
