Scarborough’s own Francesco Yates is back with brand new music. His new song, “Come Over” is available now everywhere. The multi-instrumentalist is most well-known for his breakout hit single “Better to Be Loved,” which peaked in the top 5 at Canadian radio, his single “Call” which has been heard over 6 million times on Spotify alone, and his feature on the 3x platinum Robin Schulz smash “Sugar.” Yates not only wrote and performed all the parts on “Come Over,” but also co-produced the track. Fans can get the new track here.
On top of the new music, Yates was personally selected by Justin Timberlake to open for him on the Canadian leg of his North American tour. Of the opportunity to open for Timberlake, Yates says “It’s such an honour to have Justin Timberlake choose me to open for him. He’s such an inspiration to me and having the opportunity to play on the same stage as him is a dream come true.”
Yates has spent the last year writing, recording, and producing new music. Of the decision to create his music so independently, Yates says “In the past, I worked with a lot of different artists and producers. This album is a combination of my growth and artistry. It represents 100% of me, and I’m eager to share it with the world.”
During YouTube Music Week last December, Yates was invited into the YouTube Creator Space to record a live version of “Come Over.” Fans can watch that video here.
