“We couldn’t be more excited to continue and expand our working relationship with Dallas Smith,” shared Seth England, Big Loud Partner/CEO. “Dallas was the first country artist Joey and I ever worked on together in 2010. We’ve had the pleasure of watching him quickly become Canada’s biggest country star, and we look forward to helping him grow his footprint globally.”
“We are enormously proud to embark on the next chapter of Dallas’ career alongside him,” said Joey Moi, Big Loud Partner/Record Producer. “Dallas is a day-one guy for me in what is truly an incomparable musical union and friendship that spans more than two decades. With new music ahead that truly has no borders, I can only imagine what Dallas will achieve in the years to come and know for certain it’s a freight train that we all want to be on.”

Previously signed to Vancouver independent record label 604 Records, Smith will release his first new music since the chart-topping hit “Some Things Never Change” (feat. HARDY) under Big Loud Records this fall.
“I’m really excited to expand my trademark,” shares Smith. “Music has always been at the forefront of what I do and it’s an essential part of every project for me. The innovative partnership between Big Loud Records with partners Craig Wiseman, Joey Moi, and Seth England, along with Local Hay Records, headed by Smith and award-winning Record Producer Scott Cooke is focused on cultivating emerging, dynamic music talent using innovative and collaborative approaches to artist development and services.
Local Hay Record’s main efforts will focus on signing Canadian recording artists to exclusive worldwide recording agreements. The move demonstrates Big Loud Record’s commitment to the fast-growing Canadian market coupled with Local Hay Record’s ability to discover and produce great talent.
The two companies also agree to leverage Big Loud’s global resources and experience in developing and supporting artists’ careers, as well as Local Hay Record’s influence in Canada’s music and entertainment market.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with the team at Big Loud on this new joint venture label,” said Smith. “In an ever-changing musical landscape that has more than ever before become an industry without borders, it’s simply an extension of what we do and it’s exciting to be part of a forward-thinking venture.”
