2019 Juno Nominees The Washboard Union Launch Magical Video For ‘She Gets Me’

Warner Music Canada recording artists The Washboard Union have today released a magical video for their latest single, “She Gets Me.” Filmed in Toronto by award-winning director Joel Stewart, the video stars magicians Rosemary Reid and Aaron Matthews who meet and flirt with one another throughout the clip by trying to one-up each other with their magical talents. It’s important to note that all of the magic performed in the video was done in real time with no trick photography.

“We wanted to create a music video like nothing we’d seen before. The three of us have always been fascinated by magic so when we met magician Aaron Matthews and started talking about doing a video featuring ACTUAL magic, ‘She Gets Me’ seemed like the perfect song and story for it….” (Aaron, David, and Chris)

The release of their brand new single and video comes just weeks after band received their first JUNO Award nomination as Breakthrough Group of the Year. The JUNO Awards will be held in London, Ontario on March 17, 2019. “She Gets Me” is from the band’s 2018 album “What We’re Made Of” which has already spawned the Canadian Country radio hits “Shine,” “What We’re Made Of”’ and “Feel Like That.”

The now 24X country music award winners and reigning CCMA Group of the Year, The Washboard Union simply defy classification and are one of the most exciting and talked about bands in country music. Led by step-brothers Aaron Grain, & Chris Duncombe and their best friend David Roberts the Washboard Union share an unbridled love for songwriting and storytelling that has resonated with audiences from North America to Europe. The Washboard Union kicked off the release of their latest album “What We’re Made” touring as direct support to Nashville superstars Old Dominion whom they will rejoin on the road this May. Their unforgettable live performances have set them apart as one of the most unique talents in country music today.
