(OCTOBER 22 – Toronto, ON) – You+Me’s debut album rose ave. has debuted #1 on the Top 200 SoundScan Chart in Canada with 23,500 units sold in its first week. The 10-track LP released last week on Dine Alone Records/Sony Music Entertainment Canada also enters the Billboard Top 200chart at #4 with over 49,500 units sold in its first week. Other notable chart debuts include #2 in Australia, #6 in Germany and #10 in the UK.
You+Me consists of Alecia Moore (P!nk) and Dallas Green (City And Colour) and is a passion project for the two. The artists met through Alecia’s husband Carey Hart and instantly felt a connection and wanted to work together. Alecia invited Dallas to Los Angeles to write a song or two and ended up writing 8 songs together in 1 week. The duo then decided to finish and record an album.Dallas Green Comments: “I am so very thankful for my friend Alecia and the beautiful music we’ve made together. We had no idea what would come of these songs and knowing that people are listening and loving it as much as we do is humbling.”
Alecia Moore Comments, “We really had no intention for this to become what it is. We were just two friends getting together and doing what we love and I couldn’t be more proud of what we accomplished.”
In support of the album, You+Me performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Additionally they have been featured in Entertainment Weekly, Billboard, Time, Huffington Post, Los Angeles Times Calendar Cover Story, Sun Media, Vulture and many more.
