The evolution of Scott Helman continues today as the singer-songwriter releases “Wait No More.” (DOWNLOAD/STREAM) “Wait No More” will be featured on Scott’s next collection of music, due out later this year.
A music video for “Wait No More,” shot in Scott’s Toronto home while self-isolating, will be released June 17.
Says Scott: “For as long as I can remember I’ve been singing the phrase ‘wait no more’ as a stand-in for lyrics when writing. It started to get on my nerves, and I wanted it gone from my subconscious. I thought the only way to do this was to use it as a title. So, with some friends in LA, I started writing with weak hopes of reaching any real end. I just wanted the phrase out of my head.”
“It was a strange start, but it led me down a road of self-discovery, and what came out was a song that captured my hopes and fears simultaneously. I suppose there was a reason why I had been singing that phrase so often, and it came out in the end.”
“This song marks a new chapter for me as an artist. It marks the start of living freely, of appreciating each moment, and of waiting no more. I hope it brings you peace in these strange times, and that it illuminates the small beautiful moments of your life as it has for mine.”
