What has got to rate as THE music deal of the festival season, the Peterborough Musicfest has scheduled top flight Canadian talent at the Ontario city’s Del Crary Park, two nights a week from June 25th until August 24th and the charge is absolutely free!

Kicking off with Serena Ryder on Saturday June 25th and wrapping up with country band High River Saturday August 24th, the Musicfest will feature a major concert every Wednesday and Saturday through the summer. The only exception is on Friday July 1st when Powerhouse Chicago is set to play a special Canada Day concert.

Top artists include Serena Ryder (June 25th),

I Mother Earth with Edwin (July 2nd),

Gowan (July 6)

The Box (July 23rd),

Whitehorse (July 27th), The Spoons (August 6th) and Platinum Blonde (August 20th).

Top Country artists include Cold Creek County with The Reklaws (July 16th),

Kiefer Sutherland (July 24th),

Meghan Patrick/MacArthur Clark (August 3rd) and High Valley (August 24th).

This year’s lineup is supplemented by a number of top Tribute bands; Powerhouse Chicago (July 1st), Classics Album Live Fleetwood Mac (August 13th), Hotel California (August 17th),  Sultans of String (July 9th),  and The Last Waltz (August 30th) plus Electronica acts Jocelyn Alice and Rae Mae (August 10th) and Gentlemen Husbands with Union City (July 30th).
