JUNE 21, 2019 – Back-to-back CCMA Female Artist of the Year winner Meghan Patrick has returned with her new single “Wild as Me.” The single, co-written by Meghan in her new home of Nashville is the follow up to her #1 hit single “Walls Come Down.” Produced by Jeremy Stover, the single features backup vocals by Mitchell Tenpenny.

Of the single, Meghan says “I’ve always struggled with writing love songs. I’ve written songs about love that were good songs, but they just didn’t feel 100% like ‘me’ and the lyrics didn’t feel as real as the songs I’d written about heartbreak. I never felt like I could quite nail down what a true ‘Meghan Patrick love song’ would sound like musically either until I found someone who knew exactly how to love me. Someone as ‘Wild As Me.’ Someone who made the words and the notes come together as easy as breathing and with the help of two of my best friends Jordan Rager and Michael Whitworth we wrote a song that is 100% me and 100% honest. So here it is… the musical expression of my softer side that gets to stay wild, my love song.”
In addition to the new music, Meghan is celebrating her latest wins at the Country Music Association of Ontario Awards last Sunday. She took home five awards, including Fan’s Choice, Female Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Album of the Year and Video of the Year. This marks the second consecutive year that Meghan has received the Fan’s Choice Award, and her third consecutive Female Artist of the Year win.
Meghan has also revealed that she has signed with Riser House Records in America. Of this new partnership, Meghan says “I am extremely excited to have found such a passionate team in America that understands me as an artist and is ready to help build my career here the same way Warner has in Canada. Being given the opportunity to expand what I do to a whole new audience of country fans is something I have been working towards for a long time, and I feel confident that they are the perfect team to take this next step with.
