Music Express Digital Magazine is proud to announce that Long & McQuade has agreed to continue its sponsorship of our 5th Annual Music Express Awards, balloting information to be published in January 2017.
“We are pleased to renew our sponsorship for the new year,” stated Sheri Katz, Marketing & Community Support Manager for Long & McQuade Musical Instruments.
Following the format of the first four Music Express Awards, five nominees for each of 14 award categories will be determined. Then the balloting will be turned over to fans of the nominees and each category winner will be determined by a final total of ballots accumulated by each nominee.
“Just like voting for the MLB baseball and NHL All Star teams, our format allows winners to be determined by voters who count the most, and that is the fans of each nominee,” noted Music Express publisher Keith Sharp. “Last year, we received over 100,000 responses in support of the nominees and we look forward to topping that number in 2017.
With names like The Weeknd, Rush, Bryan Adams, Shania Twain, Hedley, Johnny Reid and Cold Creek County winning 2016 awards, the crop of candidates for 2017 is equally outstanding as the Canadian music industry enjoyed another high profile year.
