HIGHS ANNOUNCE FALL CANADIAN TOUR

Toronto alt-pop group, HIGHS, have had a stellar year already! The four-piece, which Best New Bands called “one of the best-hidden gems of 2016”, celebrated the release of their vibrant debut full-length album, Dazzle Camouflage, in April, and have toured tirelessly, hitting the summer festival circuit and traveling from coast-to-coast across North America. The songs on Dazzle Camouflage have racked up over 1 million plays combined on Spotify, with Gold Teeth, the record’s current single, having been named one of Apple Music’s Best Of The Week, the week of album release.

Now, HIGHS is excited to head back out on the road, with a cross-Canada tour through the fall. Kicking off on November 10th in Hamilton, the tour will take the band to the West Coast and back, with shows in Ontario, Saskatchewan, BC, Alberta and Manitoba. See below for full details.

“This will be our fourth time across the Trans-Canada this year,” the band comments. “Every tour we get to know, and start to recognize, more and more people along the way. It’s these connections that we thrive on…especially touring Canada in November.”

Following the Canadian dates, the group will head over-seas for their first-ever European tour, while Dazzle Camouflage will see its November release in Europe.

Since the 2013 release of their self-titled EP, HIGHS – made up of Doug Haynes, Karrie Douglas, Joel Harrower, and Paul Vroom – has veered from its signature tropical pop sounds into heavier, moodier territory. Dazzle Camouflage is a kaleidoscope of imagery and bold colours, combining vibrantly upbeat instrumentation with thoughtful and passionate lyricism. Produced by Luke Smith (Foals, Depeche Mode), the 11-track LP explores the theme of perception versus reality. The way we as individuals are perceived and the way we try to mislead to portray ourselves as something we’re not.

Don’t miss HIGHS’ electrifying live show in your town this fall!
