JUNO Award-winning band Streetheart announce the special reissue of their 1983 live album, Live After Dark, on August 23 via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. A collection of high-powered live recordings from the band, Live After Dark captures an historic moment in Streetheart’s career.
Originally recorded during their July 1983 tour dates in Winnipeg, Edmonton and Regina, these live songs have been mastered and packaged within a special 1CD or 2LP reissue which also includes a new forward written by the band and a collection of tour photos from the Streetheart archives. Also included on Live After Dark is the extra track “Highway Isolation” which was not previously released on the original album.

Live After Dark is a celebration of the band’s career that has spanned over 40 years. Comprised of 15 tracks, the album includes fan favourites such as “Action” (the lead track from their 1978 debut album Meanwhile Back in Paris…), “What Kind Of Love Is This” (the highest-charting single written by the band), and “Look In Your Eyes” (from their Double-Platinum self-titled album).
Following the release of their special compilation album Life. Legacy. Music. earlier this year, Streetheart played their first live shows since the band’s two-year hiatus that marked and honoured the passing of Kenny Shields. This August, the band will continue their summer tour with Daryl Gutheil, Ken “Spider” Sinnaeve and Jeff Neill being joined by Paul McNair (Harlequin) on lead vocals and David Langguth (Kim Mitchell/Nelly Furtado) on drums.
