“Whether it’s Victoria Row”, (named after a street in Charlottetown), or Spoons And Friends , Spoons lead vocalist/guitarist Gord Deppe has created a new track with Charlottetown PEI keyboardist Mike Stratton, appropriately titled “A Better Ending” that also features Spoons’ bassist Sandy Horne and Gord’s wife’s brother Dave Crockett on drums from Ottawa, a truly long-distance effort.
“Here’s a fun, long-distance songwriting creation called “A Better Ending”. It started with myself here in Oakville, Mike Stratton in Charlottetown (who accompanies me on the piano whenever I play on the island) and Megan’s (my wife) brother Dave Crockett from Ottawa,” explained Deppe. “Sandy joined in from Guelph and our little song of hope was complete.”
