The Glorious Sons Investigate “The Ongoing Speculation Into The Death Of Rock And Roll”

Who said rock is dead? Today, The Glorious Sons release the next track off their bracing new record ‘A War on Everything’ out September 13 via Black Box, called “The Ongoing Speculation Into The Death of Rock And Roll.” Billboard loves the songs’ “turbulent guitar licks,” saying, “maybe the self-aware band thinks the genre is dying, but they might just be resurrecting it.” Listen HERE.

A witty jab at the genre’s death-knell that pervades music headlines every couple of years, the song is a guitar-heavy rejection of that very idea. Following the recent release of the heartbreaking track “Pink Motel,” this rebellious new song is emblematic of the “dirty, sweaty rock” (Alternative Press) the group has become known for.

“We all start in a bedroom,” says frontman Brett Emmons. “We all would do it for free. Mainly, I think we do it for the freedom. This song is kind of a love letter for people who were completely robbed of their freedom for doing something they loved.”
Loudwire named The Glorious Sons a rock band “you need to hear,” and Billboard has praised the band’s “infectious energy.” Their most recent single “Panic Attack” is on its fifth week at #1 on the Canadian Active Rock chart, and it currently sits in the top 10 at US Active Rock and in the top 40 at US Alternative. Their breakout 2017 single “S.O.S. (Sawed Off Shotgun)” held the #1 spot at Active Rock in Canada for 10 consecutive weeks (4 at US Active Rock), earlier this year and remains one of the most played tracks at rock radio.
The Glorious Sons will play select shows in Canada through the fall, including a hometown show for 14,000+ fans in Kingston, ON at Richardson Stadium before embarking on a European tour in November. The band will announce additional North American dates soon.
