When Calgary’s The New Electric release an indie single”Life’s What You Make It” in mid 2015, the melodic, mid-tempo track reached #18 on the Hot A/C chart, #24 on the Main A/C chart and #26 on the Top 40 Canadian Radio chart.It also didn’t hurt that brothers Kyle and Shade McKearney, Chris Doi, James Jannetty and Adam Casey also won the Bell Media `Future Star’ and Corus Radio’s `Next Big Thing’ competitions as they build momentum towards the release of their debut EP later this summer.With the band’s second single; “Inside Out” now out, the band, which formed in 2014 has been the beneficiary of top producer Brian Howes (Hedley, Simple Plan) and are managed by Chief Management’s Kevin Zaruk and Jeff Ojeda who also boast the likes of Florida Georgia Line, Dallas Smith and Cold Creek County on their management roster.Watch for The New Electric to showcase at the Nite Owl venue during Calgary’s Juno Fest activities April 2nd.
