8 Time JUNO Award Winner Jann Arden and THE AMAZING RACE CANADA Host Jon Montgomery to Co-Host CTV’s Broadcast of THE 2016 JUNO AWARDS

A beloved Canadian artist, Arden hosts the JUNO Awards for the second time, after previously taking the reins in Hamilton in 1997. In her career to-date she has received eight JUNO Awards including Female Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year, and is a nominee this year for Adult Contemporary Album of the Year forA Jann Arden Christmas. A seasoned and charismatic host, Jon Montgomery is no stranger to the JUNO Awards, appearing in 2010 as a presenter after becoming a Canadian household name when he defied the odds, and nabbed Gold for the men’s skeleton race at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Now, he’s known to millions of Canadians as the host of the most-watched television program in the country,THE AMAZING RACE CANADA.

“I hosted the JUNO Awards almost 20 years ago and I am completely thrilled, shocked, elated and excited to be doing it again with Jon!” said Jann Arden. “It’s an honour to be a part of this year’s celebration of the best of Canadian music in my home town.”

Jann Arden
Arden is a Canadian born, singer, songwriter, broadcaster, and author. The much- celebrated multi-platinum, award winning artist catapulted onto the Canadian music scene in 1993 with the release of her debut album Time For Mercy featuring the hit single, “I Would Die For You”. A year later with Living Under June, she would have her career breakout hit “Insensitive” that would solidify her position in the music world. Arden has released 12 albums with 19 top ten singles. Arden is also the recipient of 10 SOCAN Awards, four Western Canadian Music Awards, a MUCH MUSIC VIDEO AWARD, and a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame. Arden has also been inducted into the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame and was awarded the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Jon Montgomery
Montgomery’s historic victory in skeleton at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games made him a champion, but it was his now-famous beer swilling walk through Whistler Village, and genuine awe-inspiring joy on the podium receiving his gold medal, that made him a household name across Canada. Hailing from Russell, Manitoba, Montgomery knows a thing or two about small town Canada. The honourary Albertan has also visited every major Canadian city, and countless international destinations both as a traveller and athlete, and maintains that Canadians share a connection that no other country on earth can boast. As the host of CTV’s THE AMAZING RACE CANADA, Montgomery wasn’t all that surprised to see the success of the series, as he has seen first-hand the collective enthusiasm Canadians share for this country. Season 3 of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA delivered an impressive 2.54 million viewers per episode, making it the #1 regularly scheduled television program, #1 competition series, and #1 Canadian series in the 2015 calendar year. CTV’s THE AMAZING RACE CANADA returns to CTV this summer.
