Canadian Music Week (CMW) is pleased to present the 19th annual Canadian Radio Music Awards, Friday, May 6th at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. Coleman Hell, Alessia Cara,Whitehorse, and recent Oscar-nominee The Weeknd are among this year’s nominees. See below for the full list.

Sponsored by Bell Media, the Canadian Radio Music Awards celebrate first-time charted artists and honour individuals or groups with some of the most played songs on Canadian radio.

The awards ceremony will feature special performances by The Strumbellas and nomineesColeman Hell, Ria Mae, Cold Creek County, Scott Helman, and Jocelyn Alice.

Nominees include artists who have hit the Canadian charts for the first time and who have achieved top airplay in different formats based on radio “spins,” as recorded by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems (BDS) in 2015. Votes cast by program directors, music directors, and on-air personalities determine the winners.

This year’s awards categories include: AC, Mainstream Rock, Modern Rock, CHR, and Country as well as the SOCAN Song of the Year and Fans’ Choice.
