THE LAZYS RELEASE NEW SINGLE “NOTHING BUT TROUBLE”

Australian rockers The Lazys are back with their brand new single “Nothing but Trouble.”  The song comes from their forthcoming album Tropical Hazards, which will be available everywhere on February 16.  Click here to preorder the album.  In addition to the launch of the single, the band have also released the video for “Nothing but Trouble,” which sees the band leaving a trail of mischief in their wake as they wander the graffitied allies of Toronto.  Fans can watch the video below.

The Lazys are the first band to sign with HRD Music Inc., an imprint founded by Harry Hess (Harem Scarem), Eric Ratz (Big Wreck, Monster Truck) and Billy Talent’s own Ian D’Sa.  Of getting into business with The Lazys, D’Sa says “Their blistering live show is easily one of the best I’ve seen in a decade.  While many say rock n’ roll is dead, this band is living proof that it’s not”

Tropical Hazards was written and recorded in Toronto over much of 2017, including months of grueling pre-production where the band and D’sa would painstakingly craft lyrics together. “He wouldn’t settle for a one-hour brainstorm on one line,” says Leon. “He’d settle for a day.” The result is 10 tracks that’s unabashedly outrageous, packed with songs about wild nights, pretty girls, heartbreak and resilience.  Songs that are classic, but never cliché.

Formed in 2006, The Lazys are Leon Harrison (vocals), Matt Morris (lead guitar), Glenn Williams (bass), Liam Shearer (rhythm guitar) and Andy Nielsen (drums).  The band have enjoyed huge success at Canadian radio on the backs of their Top 10 hits from their 2014 self-titled album “Shake it Like You Mean It” and “Black Rebel,” both co-written by D’Sa and recorded by GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers).  To make Tropical Hazards the band recently relocated to Toronto full-time, and are well on their way to being considered honorary Canadians.
