Something old, something new, something borrowed, something Blue. This could be the motto of the 2016 edition of the Ottawa Blues Fest to be staged between July 7th and July 17th at the city’s Lebreton Flats site location.
Initially launched as a traditional Blues Festival, the Ottawa Blues Fest this year will include the likes of Duran Duran, The Cult, the reformed Monkees, Bryan Ferry, Billy Idol, John Fogerty, Country star Brad Paisley and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers mixing with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Lumineers, Nelly, Sam Hunt and Ben Harper.
Canadian content features City And Colour, Alessia Cara, Coleman Hell, David Gogo and Yukon Blonde as well as a number of hot new artists, ( Future, The Decemberists, AWOL Nation, Half Moon Run) included in a total of 75 artists booked for the 11-day festival.

Cost-wise the Ottawa Bluesfest continues to be one of the bargains of the concert circuit with a festival pass, which allows admission to all the shows, going for $229 for a regular pass with one-day, three-day and five-day passes also available.
