NEON DREAMS RELEASE NEW EP, “ACOUSTIC SESSIONS”, ANNOUNCE US TOUR

Neon Dreams are closing out a highly successful 2017 by releasing a new EP, Acoustic Sessions, on December 8, on their own imprint, Dreaming Out Loud Records (distributed by Warner Music Canada).

Drummer Adrian Morris explains that Neon Dreams loved this challenge. “Re-working a track this way is a cool opportunity because it taps into our roots as a group. We all started out playing and writing music on live instruments without the use of digital instruments, so it’s really fun to take a track and make it work that way.”

To guitarist Matt Gans, “playing acoustically is a great way to expand the way we look at our own music. It helps our creativity, musicianship and keeps things interesting!  This really is the ultimate test of a song. If it works in a raw, stripped down format and people still feel the emotion of the lyrics and vibe of the instruments we know we have done a good job.”

Neon Dreams certainly get the job done here. Their gold-selling hit single “Marching Bands” is revealed in a completely new form here, and it remains just as compelling and entertaining as the original version. The same can be said of the other cuts, “Love Experts,” “Machu Pichu,” and “Survive.”

Back in September, Neon Dreams released the EP, Wolf, Princess and Me (Buy/ Stream:CLICK HERE), one that is still scoring rave reviews. The first single “Rescue” is currently climbing the Canadian charts alongside their collaboration  “Confessions” with Quake Matthews. This marks the bands 4th top 40 single of 2017.

The high-energy performance style of Neon Dreams has made them live favourites. The group heads out on a 16-date US tour in January prior to crossing Canada as the opening act on Hedley’s massive tour. You can check out all of Neon Dreams dates here > Neon Dream Tour Dates
