Rewind With High Valley’s Grew Up On That EP, Available Now

The things young Brad and Curtis Rempel of High Valley grew up on as brothers and sons made them who they are today as husbands and fathers to kids of their own – and that’s the story they’re telling in their new Grew Up On That EP, available now (listen HERE). The six-song project blends their experiences with those of celebrated co-writers including Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard, GRAMMY-winning Golden Hour collaborator Daniel Tashian and Tenille Townes (Nadkrynechny). Produced by Seth Mosley, Grew Up On That offers reflections on childhood, family and love set to High Valley’s signature bluegrass-tinted country.

“This EP is super autobiographical,” Curtis said. “It’s a great representation of what things were like in our small town and on the family farm. Thanks to our producer Seth and all the songwriters for helping us put together a project that is larger than just the two of us. And, of course, thanks to our families, who we continue to grow with every day.”

Added Brad: “There are songs on this EP that have taken on such new meaning recently. We hope and pray that this record will encourage our fans and help bring families closer together.”

Grew Up On That, which CMT highlighted as one of its 10 summer albums to check out, starts at the beginning. The title track takes the listener back to High Valley’s childhood home in rural Alberta, Canada – where Brad and Curtis admittedly “had it so good, didn’t know how good” they had it. The brothers give fans a glimpse into their lives back then in the song’s official music video (watch HERE).

High Valley also previewed the EP with the “upbeat and anthemic” (MusicRow) message of positivity in “River’s Still Running” as well as a pair of loving tributes to their wives in “Northern Star” and “Your Mama.” Most recently they released “One Day You’ll Get It,” a gentle parent-to-child moment that acknowledges that some things just come with time. With a compact but robust tracklist, Sounds Like Nashville has already declared that the collection “could be the game-changer for High Valley.”

Their distinctive brand of positive-minded, bluegrass-infused country music has made High Valley a formidable duo across the globe. They have already earned 250 million streams across the US and their native Canada alone. Their 2016 debut album Dear Life produced fan-favourite “Make You Mine” and Top 10 radio hit “She’s With Me,” both of which have been certified Gold. The brothers’ touring credits include dates with some of the format’s biggest superstars, from Shania Twain to Keith Urban. Visit https://www.highvalleymusic.com/ for more information.
