Directed by Sean Cartwright, the video for “I’m Gonna Be Myself” is The Sheepdog’s homage to biker flicks from the 60’s and 70’s, and offers a window into the motorcycle subculture that went hand in hand with music of the era.

Bassist Ryan Gullen drew inspiration from these old movies when building his own bike along with friend Brian, who plays the video’s protagonist and rides the bike in the video. Local and Saskatchewan biker friends are also featured.

Says Gullen, “The vision was to create something reminiscent of movies like Easy Rider. It’s cool to be able to use our song as a backdrop to a style made popular back in the 60’s and 70’s, especially since the soundtrack to those movies were such an inspiration.”
