Sennheiser to Sponsor Music Express Awards

Sennheiser Canada have agreed to sponsor the inaugural 2013 MUSIC EXPRESS AWARDS which will reflect achievements by Canadian artists whose music falls into ME’s AOR genre (Sorry Justin, sorry Carly Rae!)

Official Sponsor of the Music Express Awards
Nominees will be selected in the following nine categories and each winning group or artist will receive a special microphone award presented by Sennheiser Canada.

“We are excited to invite Sennheiser back to once again sponsor our awards program,” said Keith Sharp, Editor In Chief of Music Express. “Senneheiser supplied the awards for our original awards events (for the print Music Express) and I know for a fact that the winners love to receive a functioning microphone award instead of a lump of acrylic.”

Sharp announced that nominations were being tabulated in the nine categories and that winners will be determined in January by Music Express readers who will be invited to vote for their favourites. Nominees will be posted on our special New Year’s Eve edition.

The nine categories are:

  • Top Group
  • Top Single
  • Top Album (Original music)
  • Top Album (Compilations)
  • Top Male Vocalist
  • Top Female Vocalist
  • Top Live Act (Concert Venue)
  • Top Live Act (Club Venue)
  • Comeback Award (presented to an artist or band that has forged themselves back into the spotlight).

All of the winners will be determined by YOU the reader. Once the ballot has been published you are encouraged to vote as often as you wish (separate postings) and by all means get your friends and your artists fan clubs involved.
