(Savannah) Having completed a cross-Canada tour that featured almost every whistle stop on the Trans-Canada Highway, Michelle Wright has released her latest recording “Strong” whose overall message promotes empowerment for women. Yes it’s a country album yet there’s an overall pop sensibility to the production, not unlike Faith Hill, the Dixie Chicks or The Band Perry. Wright sings about middle-aged women retaining a positive self-image with `She’s A Keeper’ plus exudes an overall positive outlook on tracks like the debut single “Strong”, “Another Good Day” and “Together Forever”. Obviously Ms. Wright is feeling good about herself these days and that self-confidence is evident in this fine collection of songs produced by a trio of top-notch Nashville producers in Jason Barry, Eric Silver and Danick Duppelle. Michelle Wright is a powerhouse in Canadian country music circles and this album can only `strengthen’ that image.
