MEGHAN PATRICK RELEASES VIDEO FOR “THE BAD GUY”

Reigning CCMA Female Artist of the Year and SiriusXM Rising Star award winner Meghan Patrick has released the video for her new single “The Bad Guy.”  The video was directed by fellow 2017 CCMA award winner Stephano Barberis, and shows Meghan bathed in moody light.  “The Bad Guy” follows up on the top 5 single “Country Music Made Me Do It.”  The video premiered on Complete Country today, and fans can watch it here.

Of the video, Meghan says “We really wanted to do something different with this song. I think the use of the colors and the intimacy of the close up shots portray the emotions of the song and make it feel very real.”  It was important for the video to cast the song in this light for Meghan, because the song is so packed with meaning for her.  She notes, “This song is one of the more vulnerable songs I’ve written.  Sometimes people think that just because you’re the one who left, that it doesn’t hurt, but most of the time it really isn’t that simple.”

In addition to the video release, Meghan was recently nominated for five Country Music Association of Ontario awards including nominations in the categories of Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Video of the Year, as well as in the Fan’s Choice category.  The awards will be held on Sunday, June 3 in London, ON.

Meghan Patrick is one of the most exciting country artists today.  Her debut album Grace and Gritdebuted at #2 on the Top Country Albums chart, sprouted four Top 20 singles including her stirring duet with Joe Nichols on the Top 10 hit Still Loving You.  In concert, she’s shared the stage with superstars like Lady Antebellum, Dwight Yoakam, Kip Moore and Martina McBride, as well as performing a duet with Keith Urban at the Timmins Stars & Thunder Festival.   To keep up with all things Meghan Patrick, go to meghanpatrickmusic.com or follow her on Twitter, Instagram, Facebookand YouTube.
