Mega Stars Dominate The 2016 IHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL

In advance of the official launch of  iHeartRadio in Canada, CTV announced today it will deliver front row access to the 2016 IHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL with a two-night four-hour event broadcast,Thursday, Oct. 6 and Friday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV Two. Filmed in Las Vegas in September and hosted by Ryan Seacrest, both nights of the festival special are jam-packed with legendary performances from U2, Sia, Sting, Britney Spears, and Usher; plus all-star collaborations, including Billy Idol and Miley Cyrus; Ariana Grande and Zedd; and Backstreet Boys and Florida Georgia Line. The CTV Two 2016 IHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL broadcasts air as Canada’siHeartRadio app and desktop player are available for preview, with the full launch to be announced soon.

The first night of the 2016 IHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL kicks off with a “Rebel Yell” as Billy Idol and Miley Cyrus share the stage for an electrifying performance,Thursday, Oct. 6 beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT. U2, twenty one pilots, Pitbull, Backstreet Boys, Tears For Fears, Sam Hunt, and One Republic also take the stage on night one two hours of memorable performances.

Night two of the concert special gets straight to “Work B*tch” as pop princess Britney Spears takes the stage to open the evening packed with chart-topping performances and all-star collaborations. The acts taking the stage on Friday, Oct. 7 beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT include Arianna Grande, Usher, Sia, Sting, Florida Georgia Line, and Cage The Elephant. Backstreet’s back for a second night to team up with Florida Georgia Line for a performance of “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)”; Zedd takes the stage twice on night two, performing “Break Free” with Arianna Grande and “Starving” with Hailee Steinfeld; and Usher reunites with Lil John and Ludacris to perform “Yeah” and “Turn Down for What”.

The 2016 IHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL also features appearances from Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara; comedians Kevin Hart, Kathy Griffin, and David Spade; Broadway superstar Idina Menzel; Olympian Laurie Hernandez; actors Sean Penn, John Stamos, Taylor Lautner, Lea Michele, Justin Baldoni, and Mehki Pfier.
