Canadian Music Week (CMW) is proud to welcome Sunrise Records, Canada’s Record Store, as the Official Music Retailer of 2018 CMW Festival, taking place May 7 – 13, 2018 in downtown Toronto.

CMW Festival showcases over 600 artists in 41 venues in 7 days, shining a spotlight on the discovery of emerging artists” states Neill Dixon, President of Canadian Music Week. “We are very excited to bring together the live and retail experiences to our mutual consumers”.

For the first time since 2011, CD’s and Vinyl are outselling digital downloads, according to RIAA. The overall music industry grew for a second year with $8.7 billion in total revenue and is healthier than it has been since 2008, according to the report. The expansion of Sunrise Records in Canada is poised to be part of the future growth driven by new technology.
Canadian Music Week, in concert with Sunrise Records, are looking to generate excitement for this year’s festival, which features diverse music genres and some of the hottest new artists on the horizon including; 2 Chainz, French Montana, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Matt and Kim and The Rural Alberta Advantage, in addition to special events such as a free concert at Yonge Dundas Square with Sloan on May 12th .
