The new song, written by Eldredge and Tom Douglas, is the first single from his forthcoming album due out this summer.
A creative and prolific songwriter, Eldredge says “Somethin’ I’m Good At” fits his personality more than any song he’s ever written. “It’s exciting to write and record a song that captures this side of me and this song is full of life and excitement. I hope everyone feels the way I do about it and I hope it puts a smile on your face when you hear it as you’re driving down the road or unloading the dishwasher or whatever you’re doing, I just hope it makes you happy,” he continued.
Eldredge is riding a wave of six consecutive #1 singles, all of which he wrote, plus a #1 song on the Holiday Music and Adult Contemporary charts in December of last year with “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” a duet with Grammy-winner Meghan Trainor. The Paris, IL native released his debut album Bring You Back in August of 2013, the chart topping Illinois in 2015 and his Christmas album Glow in October of last year.
Glow proved to be one of the most widely praised holiday albums of the season, debuting at No. 2 on the country charts and named to “Best of…” lists by People, Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone. Eldredge performed songs from the album on Good Morning America, LIVE with Kelly and his own DirecTV special filmed at the historic Jubilee Theatre at Bally’s in Las Vegas for AUDIENCE Music.
