2016 Music Express Awards – Nominees Announced

R&B dominates 2016 Music Express Awards
Canada ruled the North American continent when it came to Billboard chart action at the end of 2015 with Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and Drake all cementing a stake at the top of the charts. So it comes as no surprise that these three Canadians dominate nominees for the Long & McQuade 2016 Music Express Awards with three nominations each in the R&B/Rap record/single and Male Vocalist categories.

It was also a great year for Country Music with a number of top domestic performers enjoying sold out tours and strong record sales, a genre that still thrives on physical product sales while a crop of new bands are threatening to edge out established artists.
